Expect a nice and mild start to our Friday! Southerly winds have held temps above freezing overnight for many folks and it will keep us mild in the forecast today.
That breeze is causing some problems on the roads this morning with blowing snow in northern Iowa. Expect no issues for the drive in outside of a few re-freeze slick spots in central Iowa.
Clouds will increase today as temps level off in the 40s for most folks. Some 50s are possible in southeastern Iowa ahead of a cold front. A few snow showers and a chilly northerly breeze will filter in behind the front tonight. Little to no accumulation is expected with this system.
Saturday will be chilly with highs in the 20s/30s across the state. Sunday will start off frosty, but we're looking for a big temperature rebound. Strong southwesterly winds and sunshine will push temps into the 50s. Monday will be even warmer with temps in the 50s/60s under sunshine and less wind.
Our next chance of rain and snow swings in on Tuesday and it may linger into Wednesday, but temps will stay mild for the next 10 days!
Have a happy Friday!
