Sunday was nice and snowy for much of the state, central Iowa saw totals from an inch to over three inches by the time it was all done! We have only a few snow chances this week, but unfortunately we are heading into another cold snap.
Our snow will keep pushing east overnight tonight, and should be mostly out of central Iowa by 10 or 11pm. This secondary wave pushing through the state this evening may bring parts of central Iowa another inch or two of fluffy As we get into tomorrow morning, our winds will be picking up which is going to easily blow all this light fluffy snow around on your morning commute. Because of this, you should plan on leaving for work a little early and expect drifting roads with the blowing snow.
A strong arctic high and cold front are going to drop us into the teens and single digits for Monday's temps, but as we head towards next weekend, expect a slight warm up to the low 30s. On Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, a wave of energy may give us some light snow showers and flurries, but accumulations will be small.
Have a great week!
