A Colorado man who has been missing for over a week has been found dead in Newton, Iowa.

Early Tuesday morning, the Newton Police Department and the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation were called to 1453 North 11th Avenue in Newton to investigate a body found in an abandoned car.

A 2009 Mitsubishi Galant was parked in the parking lot of the Courtyard Apartments.

At first, police told the property manager they were investigating a stolen vehicle. On further investigation, they found the body of 61-year-old Grant Frazier, a Colorado Springs man who went missing on February 16th and his disappearance had been ruled as suspicious.

Frazier was last seen with 21-year-old Bionca Rogers, who is being considered a person of interest in the case.

If anyone has seen Rogers, immediately contact Newton Police Department who is working with the Colorado Springs Police Department during this case.

The cause and manner of Frazier's death will be released on completion of the autopsy.

People living in the Courtyard Apartment complex were shocked and surprised to hear that something like this happened in a place that's considered, "pretty quiet and hidden."

"We're cut off from the main road, it's quiet back here. We don't have any trouble back here usually," said Michelle Wales, the Courtyard's property manager. "Normally people kind of look out for each other. I noticed a vehicle with Colorado license plates on it when I did my rounds, but I figured someone had family visiting."
