Retailers see heavy traffic from Black Friday throughout the holiday season, but even after those gifts are unwrapped, the buzz doesn't quite die down.

The West Des Moines Best Buy on University opened its doors at 7 a.m., hoping shoppers spend that Christmas cash on their "yellow tag sale."

As traffic picked up throughout the day Thursday shoppers had a lot of questions, which means a store filled with people to answer.

"We're almost fully staffed today so I would guess that we've got anywhere from 100 to 120 employees today," said Best Buy associate Scott Sheehy.

The days following Christmas bring the crazy retail season to an end.

"I live for this time of year," Sheehy said. "I think that my days just fly by when it's like this."

It's a shopping season that some are happy to bid farewell.

"I'm glad, but my wallet's even happier," said one shopper.

A lot of stores have those final sales going on right now. Best Buy expects to see the rush of customers through the first of the year.
