By now all the Christmas presents are probably unwrapped, leftovers are put up in the fridge and little ones are tucked into bed.  We took a look at how some Iowans enjoyed the day.

Ice skating by the Des Moines skyline is as much like Christmas as lights on Iowa trees.

Families came to Brenton Skating Plaza for the holidays.

Local youth groups wobbled across the ice.  They joined many other families, happy relatives have returned home.

Across town, Iowans packed into cars to enjoy a nice leisurely drive.

After a donation at the entrance to the Make a Wish Foundation, the Jolly Holiday Lights are quite a sight.

Cause even though the taking of presents is good, but these volunteers love to take part in giving this holiday.

"I agree, yea, this is what Christmas to me is all about, helping others," says Ashley Pilat, a volunteer at Jolly Holiday Lights.

If you still have that Christmas spirit tomorrow and into the future, Jolly Holiday Lights is open until January 1st and Brenton Skating Plaza is open until Spring.
