Every season comes with high expectations at Nebraska and 2013 is no different.
"Every year is going to be a little bit different. You just keep working hard and doing things the right way" said head coach Bo Pelini.
Coming off a ten win season and a trip to the Big Ten Championship the Huskers expect to contend for another division title.
"You know you keep banging on the door, hopefully you'll knock it down. I always take the approach you just look every single year, every single week, every single day try to get better."
The Husker offense was explosive in 2012 and could be even better this fall. Eight starters return including senior quarterback Taylor Martinez.
"I really like the group. I like the athleticism we have. Obviously it starts with the quarterback position but you know our ability to hurt people with our athleticism on the edge and speed and we're gonna have a big physical offensive line that I think has a chance to be a dominant group."
The big question mark is on defense. Only four starters return to a unit that really struggled in Nebraska's four losses.
"I think there's tremendous potential in the group" said Pelini. Probably more talent than we've had there in a couple years."
