After and up and down 2012 Purdue made a head coaching change replacing Danny Hope with Kent State's Darrell Hazell.

"We're gonna do things on offense that look the same but aren't the same and we'll be very efficient. We're very much a completion driven offense. We'll be in a four man front scheme with some sophisticated blitz packages and we're gonna play lights out special teams" said Hazell.

Purdue hopes the coaching change will bring a change in results but it should take time with a brutal schedule.

"There's definitely enough talent in our team room to win football games, a lot of football games, win championships and I think the biggest thing is how we convey the message to our guys that we're pretty good."

The quarterback job is up for grabs. Senior Rob Henry is finally healthy and seems to be the front runner but true freshman Danny Etling is pushing for the job.

"We have two very capable quarterbacks."
