Metairie, LA - OF Brian Bogusevic joins the Iowa Cubs today as part of a Major League rehab assignment.  Bogusevic has been on Chicago's disabled list since July 15 with a strained left hamstring.  He will leadoff and play center field for the I-Cubs tonight in New Orleans.

Bogusevic began the season with Iowa and hit .319 (83-for-260) with 14 doubles, 10 home runs, 32 RBI, and 50 runs scored in 78 games.  He is still Iowa's team leader with 16 stolen bases and is only one behind Logan Watkins for the team lead in runs scored.  Bogusevic was tied for the league lead in games played and was among the league leaders in batting and on-base percentage (.418) when Chicago purchased his contract on June 25.

In 13 games with Chicago, Bogusevic batted .261 (12-for-46) with three doubles, three RBI, and two stolen bases before suffering his injury.  He began his rehab with the Arizona Rookie Cubs and hit .400 (10-for-25) with five RBI in seven games before joining Iowa.
