Very few expected Ohio State to go unbeaten in 2012. After a perfect 12-0 campaign most expect the Buckeyes to run the table in 2013.
"I never said that we're setting our sight on championships. I think that you've got to be very cautious about when you talk to our players. Our job is to compete for championships in November and that's all I want them to think about" said head coach Urban Meyer.
Unlike last year Ohio State will be bowl eligible this year.
"We lost 15 bowl practices so we had to somehow make them up. The NCAA rules say we're not allowed to go past a certain amount of hours so a lot of that was gonna be on their own. I'm proud to tell you we're starting fall practice in my mind that we're all caught up" said Meyer.
The Buckeyes will likely be favored in every game they play this season. A National Championship is on the minds of most in Columbus.
"It pops in my mind a few times. Its just a lot of hard work and dedication. You gotta think about what you need and what you need to do to come that far" said quarterback Braxton Miller.
Nine starters return on offense but defensively all four starting linemen need to be replaced. Urban Meyer is reloading with four and five star recruits. With Meyer at the helm, the talent at Ohio State should only continue to improve.
