Wells Fargo and Habitat for Humanity hit a milestone today.
The two organizations celebrated their 5,000th building project together by building three houses along East 16th Street in Des Moines.
The organizations' volunteers have now built 72 homes in the metro area.
The home owners in the area are grateful for the volunteers hard work
"It's wonderful, we have our own house in our own neighborhood, we have our own yard to play in, we can have our own pets.. we have ownership, we own the house. We don't have to be afraid of not having anywhere to go," said Kim, whose home was built by Habitat for Humanity.
Both Wells Fargo and Habitat for Humanity have been working together for twenty years.
