SANTIAGO, Chile, March 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- In a survey made by the prestigious British magazine Drinks International, Concha y Toro maintained its position as the World's Most Admired Wine Brand.

In anonymous voting carried out by international wine-industry experts, Concha y Toro obtained the largest number of nominations as the most admired wine brand, surpassing brands with proven track records like Torres, Penfolds, Cloudy Bay, Chateau Margaux, Chateau Mouton-Rothschild, Vega Sicilia and Kendall Jackson.

The jury was asked to vote for the 6 most admired wine brands  on the basis of the following criteria:

• The wines should be of consistent and growing quality
• They reflect their region or country of origin
• Response to the needs and tastes of their objective public
• Successful distribution and packaging
• The wine is very attractive for a broad demographic group
