Baltimore County Public Schools Are Innovating In Digital Health Education
BETHESDA, Md., Feb. 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- My Healthy World, Inc. announced today that two Baltimore County schools will be featured at First Lady Michelle Obama's "Partnership for a Healthier America" Summit Meeting in Washington DC on March 7. Norwood Elementary School and Holabird Middle School, both located in Dundalk, Maryland, will be spotlighted due to their participation in the My Healthy World program. My Healthy World is an innovative digital education program for elementary and middle schools. The program features a series of mobile apps for health and wellness education, which offer experiential learning in nutrition, fitness, and preventive care.

As part of the support package, Maryland Physicians Care today donated thirty laptop computers to Holabird Middle School, enabling that school to expand the program. Norwood and Holabird schools are also part of a proposed STEM magnet school complex in Baltimore County.
