Woman Completes Jethro's Food Challenge for Third Time

A 120 pound woman may not seem like the type to wolf down a five pound sandwich, but Wednesday, that stereotype was put to shame.

Six total pounds of food in just fifteen minutes is a tall order for even the biggest eater, but one woman has now completed the challenge three times.

When Jethro's owner Bruce Gerleman first met Molly Schuyler, he didn't think she was serious about completing the Adam Emmenecker Challenge.

"I said there is no way that skinny little girl is going to eat that five pound sandwich," said Gerleman.

For the seasoned super-eater, it was just another challenge.

"I was looking on eatfeats.com and this was one of the available challenges in the area, so I stopped for that one because it was convenient and I saw it on Man vs. Food."

And even though Man vs. Food's Adam Richman couldn't finish the hulking barbecue sandwich, Schuyler scarfed it down with no problem.

The challenge consists of a massive barbecue sandwich and a pound of waffle fries. Molly finished in less than eight minutes. Her personal record is seven minutes and 39 seconds, just nine seconds short of Jethro's all-time record.

Schuyler will be giving the challenge one last try at the Altoona location on Friday.
