Fire Crews Called to VA Hospital

DES MOINES -- Des Moines fire crews rushed to the VA Hospital this afternoon after a suspicious white powder spilled onto an employee. It happened around 2:30 p.m. in the hospital's pharmacy. After taking the proper precautions, the letter was opened. Turns out it was a pill capsule mailed in by a patient who wanted a refill, but it got crushed in the process. No injuries were reported and no charges will be filed.
