CIML Football Players Staying in State

Several of the CIML's best football players have pledged their commitment to Paul Rhoads and Iowa state in recent days.  Monday night Urbandale receiver Allen Lazard announced his intentions to play for the Cyclones.  According to rivals.com Lazard is a four star prospect and the first known commitment for the 2014 recruiting class.

Also on Monday, Southeast Polk quarterback Kyle Starcevich verbally committed to Iowa State.  In all likelihood, Starcevich will gray shirt meaning he to will not be eligible until the 2014 season.

Last Saturday Valley offensive lineman Jake Campos changed his commitment from Missouri to Iowa State.  Campos is also listed as a four star prospect.  He joins Ankeny quarterback Joel Lanning in the 2013 recruiting class. Both of these players will be eligible to play for the Cyclones next fall.

All of these commitments are non-binding until the athletes sign their letters of intent on National Signing Day.
