It would be easy to point to quarterback play as the cause of Iowa State's struggles this season but the Cyclones are trying not to point fingers.

"We have to all point the blame at ourselves and we just have to start getting ready for next week but there's no you did this wrong or you did that wrong" said QB Jared Barnett.

Barnett's play prompted head coach Paul Rhoads to bench Barnett and play Steele Jantz in the 4th quarter of Iowa State's 31-10 loss to Oklahoma State Saturday. It appears there is no end in sight for the quarterback controversey.

"It could have been Steele. It could have been Sam Richardson. Jared had a very very good week of practice" said Rhoads.

Iowa State will try to get back on track Saturday at home against Baylor.

"You've got to continue to examine the plan that you're coming into it with, what's right, what's wrong, why was it wrong" said Rhoads.
