With Iowa State off to a 4-1 start and 6th ranked Kansas State coming to Ames Saturday this week feels like one of the biggest games and biggest opportunities Iowa State has had in a long time.

"We know the crowd is gonna be fantastic. We've got to take advantage of that energy and build on it. But you've got to do it between the lines. You've got to go out there and execute and do the things you work on in preparation to play a successful football game" said head coach Paul Rhoads.

"This is always the goal you know try and turn things around and get this program headed in the right direction and I think that's what we're doing. We just gotta keep doing that. You know we know we have a special team and we have to take advantage of that" said WR Josh Lenz.

"It's the opportunity of a lifetime. It's something that we've built here in the off season, training, talking about this type of thing. We just have to go out now and execute it and put in all the time and all the hard work to get to where we want to get at the end of the year but this game right now is a huge game and that's what we're focused on and we have to put all of our focus on this game" said LB Jake Knott.

Iowa State will play an unbeaten opponent for the 6th straight week. If the Cyclones can find a way to upset Kansas State taking the step to the next level would be well within reach.
