TCU is the team that entered the game with the nation's 7th best defense but it was Iowa State's defense that forced 5 turnovers and paved the way to the Cyclones 4th victory of the season.

The cold weather, TCU probably wasn't used to that and we've practiced in that a little bit and it was a little bit windy. Its stuff like that that you knew coming in that hey we're gonna have an opportunity to force these type of things and I think we went out there and executed on that really as a defense and allowed us to play the game that we thought we could play" said LB Jake Knott.

DL David Irving returned an interception for a touchdown in the 4th quarter that sealed the victory.

"It was a crazy feeling. I like our defense. Jake Knott his interception we just had to keep playing defense" said Irving.

If the Iowa State offense continues to play like they did and the defense continues to turn in performances like that the Cyclones should be in many games throughout the rest of the Big 12 season.
