Iowa State's football game against TCU Saturday will be the Horned Frogs Big 12 home opener. In
the offseason TCU dumped 164 million dollars into their new stadium and it
clearly shows their commitment to the Big 12 conference. Money won't buy
you wins but good players will and they have plenty of them on defense, it's a
unit that ranks 2nd in scoring defense in the country and 7th overall. They're
going to test Iowa State's offense that only mustered up 6 points vs. Texas
Tech last weekend.
"It's one of the key things especially for a
play caller to have answers. If I do this, I do that, and they have that within
the system, they've recruited to the system so they have players at all
positions that are ideal fits for it and they got great players playing
defense" said Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads.
Nearly 20 of the players on the Iowa State roster come from the
state of Texas. Tune into Ten at 10:00 on ABC 5 tonight as we'll learn more about some of those hometowns in the Dallas Fort Worth Metro–plex.
