Ron anchors the weekend newscasts and reports three days a week.
He was born in Anaheim, Ca. and raised in Orange County. He graduated summa cum laude from California State University, Fullerton (Go Titans!) with a degree in broadcast journalism. He earned "Journalism Student of the Year" honors his senior year.
Prior to ABC5, Ron served as the main anchor at KLEW, the CBS affiliate in Lewiston, ID. Ron also worked for both the Orange County Register and the Honolulu Advertiser newspapers. In addition, he spent time anchoring and reporting for Comcast Cable in Southern California, where he won two awards for his work.
Ron has one son, Adam.
When he's not working, Ron loves exercising, reading, politics, horse racing and watching his beloved Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on the Internet.
