Katie joined ABC5 in June 2011 after graduating from Emerson College in Boston with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. She grew up in the small town of Raymond, Maine and is excited to experience Iowa for the very first time!
While at Emerson, Katie was the news director of her college station, EIV News. She led her team to win two New England Emmy awards, and the New England Associated Press College Station of the Year. She spent many mornings broadcasting the news on her college radio station,WERS. Katie also worked as a web intern at the Boston Herald, and a morning news intern at WGN in Chicago.
