AMES- Iowa State's football team is out two more players. They were arrested and charged for breaking into a dorm room, and trying to steal from another student. ISU police say they may be to blame for a string of robberies on campus.

Monday, the two suspects, 20-year-old Jerry Gair and 19-year-old Tyease Thompson, were arrested and charged with attempted burglary. A series of other thefts in the area has ISU police wondering if this latest incident wasn't their first time.

This comes just three days after another player was arrested over the weekend for fighting in a bar. Some Iowa State students say the athletes' behavior hurts everyone on campus.

Captain Gene Deisinger, from the ISU Police, said, "They had come back to the room and found two males inside, looking like they were looking around." The two suspects took off, and were soon arrested by ISU Police and charged with attempted burglary. Police say they've recently had other reports of thefts in the Maple-Willow-Larch complex, where this latest attempt occurred. Deisinger said, "Someone matching the description of one of the suspects was found in the area of another burglary." Captain Deisinger says the stolen items are mostly pricey electronics: laptops, video game systems, CD's and someone even had a 27-inch TV stolen.

Shawn Spencer, a student at ISU, said, "I think it's scary to have someone living in your community that would do that to other people." Other students say they're disappointed to learn of the arrests. Brian Adrianse, another ISU student, said, "I think their actions reflect poorly on collegiate athletics as a whole, as well as the university."

Thompson and Gair have been suspended from the team indefinitely. Just this weekend, Cephus Johnson was arrested for assault. Jason Berryman is now serving a jail sentence for assault and theft, last fall.
