The Iowa Hall of Pride, The Professional Educators of Iowa and ABC5 are helping build a better community with the My Favorite Teacher Award!

We're asking all students, past and present, to help us find and recognize outstanding Educators in Central Iowa. Here's how you can nominate your favorite teacher.

Print off a Nomination Letter from the link below, or send an e-mail to: news@myabc5.com with "My Favorite Teacher" in the subject line.

In your letter, be sure to include your name and phone number, your school and the school's phone number, your school grade and your teacher's name. Tell us a little about why your teacher is your favorite too.

We'll be recognizing teachers during the 2009-2010 school year. If your letter is selected, we'll come to your school. We'll present an award to your teacher and you can tell us why he or she is your favorite.
