IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) - Officials with the University of Iowa say efforts to revise the school's sexual harassment policy should be finished by the end of the semester.
Law professor Jonathan Carlson says the new policy will incorporate new national standards. It comes after the school approved a new student sexual misconduct policy in 2008.
Carlson says a nine-person committee has been working on the sexual harassment policy and they are accepting feedback. He says one proposal is to have a sexual misconduct response coordinator for victims.
The new policies came in response to an alleged sexual assault of a female student. Also in 2008, two faculty members were accused of sexual misconduct toward students. The faculty members both committed suicide.
