EPA conducts search at Iowa GPC offices

MUSCATINE, Iowa (AP) - Agents with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency have served a search warrant at the Muscatine offices of Grain Processing Corp.
GPC spokeswoman Janet Sichterman releasd a statement that acknowledges the search on Thursday. She says GPC is cooperating to provide the information the EPA is asking for but that the company is not aware of any particular allegations.
Special agent in charge with the EPA office in Kansas City, Michael Burnette, also confirmed the search but declined further comment. He says it would be a week before he would be able to discuss the investigation.
