The cool winds of change are picking up across the state, and they're whisking away our heat and humidity!
This evening we will see showers scooting out to the east, exiting the metro by 5pm and leaving the state entirely by 10pm. The winds will remain though, gusting to 25mph this evening from the northwest. This is bringing a bunch of cooler air from the north and lows tonight will dip down into the low to mid 50s.
Friday should be a mostly sunny day, but there will be a strong NW wind 15-25mph! Temperatures will feel much cooler and only top out in the 70s.
Heading into the holiday weekend, the winds back off on Saturday. Lows will be cool in the upper 40s and low 50s, but the afternoon looks like a little slice of perfection! We'll see comfortable air, light winds and temps in the 70s. We warm to the 80s on Sunday and Labor Day should be windy and warm. All-in-all, we can't beat this nice stretch.
Enjoy the cooldown!
